Dr.
Harry Schiller is Editor of the Short Term Consensus Hotline,
which he founded in 1988. The Short Term Consensus Hotline is a Registered
Investment Advisor with the California Dept. of Corporations. Schiller
holds a Series 7 General Securities license as well as a Series 4 Options
Principal license.
Schiller began working in the market timing business as Vice President
of Timer Digest in 1987. When Bob James sold the business in
1988, Schiller returned to California and joined First Affiliated Securities
as Director of Market Timing. From there, he was hired by Charles Schwab
to create and coordinate the Schwab Market Hotline in 1989. Since that
time, he has continued to live in the Bay area operating the Hotline,
while continuing his money management services.
Dr. Schiller has been a frequent speaker to technical and trading groups across the country. His comments on market timing have been broadcast frequently on CNBC (formerly a weekly guest on FNN) and KWHY in L.A. He is also frequently quoted in electronic and print media including DTN Wall Street and TheStreet.com, as well as the financial sections of the San Diego Union and San Francisco Chronicle.
His degrees include a B.A. from Stanford University, a Master's Degree
from Harvard University, and a Doctorate in Applied Behavioral Sciences
from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
He estimates that in the course of a year he records or e-mails over 4,000 updates.
